I ended up seeing a bunch of live music in 2023 — New Pornographers*, Franz Ferdinand*, Pixies, The Hives*, Liz Phair, Quicksand — many of which ended up on my year-end list. Also went through an electro phase for a while this year (reliving my old breakdancing days?). And of course Rush and the Beatles should be on my lists every year, but that’s kind of a given by now.
