Stolen "Losers of the Year"
Someone in Japan took part of a video I made ("Losers of the Year"), edited out all non-flatland stuff, dubbed some rap over it, and uploaded it to YouTube. While I'm not exactly thrilled that somebody used my video without permission and added their own music to it, what the heck...the video is over 10 years old.

New Design
Well, unless you're reading this in an RSS reader it's pretty obvious that I launched this site's new design. Nothing earth-shattering, just a (slight) improvement over the last minimalist/unfinished black & white version. There might be some weirdness while I work out the kinks, but hopefully it's nothing too major.

Sinko Podcast Update
After over a month of ignoring it (busy with the holidays, etc.) I finally got around to adding a new "mix tape" podcast to Sinko. I actually did a few episodes last night, so I'll update the site regularly in the upcoming weeks.

New Photos Page
I added a new photo slideshow thing on the Photos page using JonDesign's Smooth Gallery, combining it with the SimplePie RSS reader to display my most recent Flickr photos.
An entire new site design coming soon ... just have to work through some wacky CSS things.

Magical Fenway Park
Fenway all about 'the history and the tradition' (ESPN)
Fenway Park is magical. There's no ballpark, stadium or arena quite like it. Squeezed into the Fenway section of Boston, it's old, cramped and irritable, but there's no better place, no more intimate setting, for a baseball game.

Fear Makes People Conservatives
January 2007 is almost half over...time to post something!
The Ideological Animal (Psychology Today)
The Ideological Animal (Psychology Today)
We think our political stance is the product of reason, but we're easily manipulated and surprisingly malleable. Our essential political self is more a stew of childhood temperament, education, and fear of death. Call it the 9/11 effect...
[A study] found that conservatives have a greater desire to reach a decision quickly and stick to it, and are higher on conscientiousness, which includes neatness, orderliness, duty, and rule-following. Liberals are higher on openness, which includes intellectual curiosity, excitement-seeking, novelty, creativity for its own sake, and a craving for stimulation like travel, color, art, music, and literature.
