Wire: 1989-1995
The best-of compilation video Wire: 1989-1995 is complete! It's chock full of the best riding (flatland, ramps, dirt, & street) from the four Wire videos released during those years. I'll soon be posting information on how you can get it; in the meantime, you can check out a preview#

Round 2 of the New England Flatland Series in Keene, NH was cancelled due to snow. Yup: a couple inches of snow in May. It will not be rescheduled, so the next one is July 20 in Middleboro, Massachusetts. (It shouldn't snow then...) #

Frank Jalbet has passed on this bit of information: "I wanted to let you know that hell has frozen over and John Cote is now married." #

Some changes to the New England Flatland Series worth noting:

Helmets are no longer mandatory during your runs, so you helmet-haters can stop worrying.

The August 24 contest has been moved to September (so it doesn't conflict with the York Jam). The actual day has yet to be finalized; watch this site or eWire for info. #

Round 1 of the New England Flatland Series went down yesterday in Burlington, VT. It was a very small turnout, but the weather was great and those of us who did go had a good time. The Open class ended up like this:

1. Gabe Kadmiri
2. Brian Chapman
3. Kurt Von Stetten

Full details, with photos and video, will be on eWire soon.

The next contest is this Saturday, May 18 in Keene, NH (click here for location, info, directions, etc.). #

Chris Poulos is getting all the final details set for Round #1 of the New England Flatland Series. Here is a final update before the event:

1. Chris is getting the insurance through the Boy Scouts just like the impact contests did. That means everyone will have to pay a one-time $10 fee and fill out the Boy Scout form to be on the insurance for the series.

2. If you are planning to get a hotel room in Burlington, forget about it. The contest is on the same day as University of Vermont's graduation. All the hotels are full. Your best bet is to stay about an hour or so away and drive the rest of the way on Saturday morning.

3. Don't be late! The contest will start at 11:00am. #
